HERBERT
H. MOORE, JR., DCM,
President, obeyed the
Gospel in Augusta, Georgia in 1976. His ministry of the Gospel began in
1977, as he served and preached at the following Churches of Christ:
from 1978-1980, Wiesbaden, Germany; from 1982-1987, Assistant to Brother
Wesley Brown at West End; 1987-1988 Minister of Elberton Church of
Christ; from 1988-1991, he became the Co-Minister with Brother Owen
Freeman at Old National. In 1991, Brother Moore was selected
as the minister of Old National Church of Christ where he presently
serves.
Herbert H. Moore, Jr., educational background includes many colleges,
such as, Athens Technical College in 1971-1972, Perimeter College in
1988. His theological studies began with Abilene Christian
University 1983-1984, Atlanta Christian College with a B. S .of Biblical
Studies in 1989, McDonough Bible Institute with a Master’s Degree of
Biblical Studies 2009. Today he has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate
of Christian Ministry from American Christian Bible College, West
Monroe, Louisiana.
Dr. Herbert H. Moore, Jr. has assumed the role of President at World
Bible Institute as of December 1, 2010. Dr. Moore reflects positive
leadership skills, illustrates sound Christian values and practical
goals that are imperative to the college and its growth throughout the
U.S. Region and other countries.
He was married to the late Rosemary Mathis of Kansas; He has five
children, Theresa Mitchell, Herbert Moore, III, Lynetra Guthrie, Chris
Moore and Monique Payton, two sons-in-law and fifteen grandchildren.
DAVID W. HAMRICK, DCM, VP Extension Studies, has been preaching since 1980. He is a graduate of Brown Trail School of Preaching, Freed-Hardeman University (B.A. in Bible), David Lipscomb University (M.A. in Religion), McDonough Bible Institute of Georgia (Hon. Doctorate in Christian Leadership) and has done graduate work at Harding Graduate School of Religion. David has done local preaching in Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi. He served as the Director of Extensions for Bear Valley Bible Institute of Denver for nine years during which he established numerous schools of preaching and Bible Colleges in six continents of the world. He served on the Board of Trustees for Parkview Christian School, has done extensive radio work, and writes for various brotherhood publications. He and his wife Rhonda reside in Colleyville, TX with their two children Caleb and Bailey.
JERRY WHITMORE, DCM, Academic Dean , was born in Atlanta Georgia and has preached for 36 years, eight of which were spent as a full-time Bible Instructor, and one year as an Educational and Involvement minister. Most recently, he spent 10 years at Concord in Orlando, FL (1986-1996), nine years at Beattie Road in Albany, GA (1996-2005), and also preached in Texas and Louisiana. Jerry attended Bear Valley School of Biblical Studies (Denver, Colorado) and received a BA from Harding University (Minor in Greek), and an MA from Harding Grad (Minor in Counseling). He has done additional work toward a M. Div. at Southern Christian, spent five years as an instructor at Whites Ferry Road School of Biblical Studies, three years as Chairman of Bible Department and teacher at Shreve Christian in Shreveport, directed Lectureship for two years at Whites Ferry Road, spent fifteen plus years in developing material and leading small (Bible-based) groups, he has taken twenty or so short-term Foreign Mission trips, seven of which were to India, two to Thailand, and the last 15 trips have been to Eastern Europe and the Ukraine.
DAREN
L. SCHROEDER, Extension Studies Coordinator, has
been preaching since 1994. He is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman University
(B.S. in Bible and M.M. in Religion). Daren has done local preaching in Tennessee and Texas. He (and his
wife) served in the mission field of Iasi, Romania from July of 2000
until December 2004 helping to establish the Lord’s church there. Daren
also assisted in the writing, translating, and the editing of numerous
tracts and books while on the mission field. Previous to his work in Romania, Daren was also involved in campaign
work with several churches in the northeastern United States and in New
Zealand. He and his wife Julie currently reside in Godley, Texas with their
three children, Braden, Kailey, and Aubrey.
AUBREY
JOHNSON, Instructor is a speech graduate of Lipscomb University where he also received Masters degrees before completing his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Leadership through Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He is the author of five books and a popular speaker for leadership seminars and other special events. Aubrey is in his twelfth year as the minister of the Peachtree City Church of Christ. Aubrey and his wife, Lisa, have three sons.
J.
J. TURNER, Chancellor and Instructor has been preaching for close
to a half century. His full-time work has taken him to Florida,
Louisiana, California, Colorado and of course his home state of Georgia.
His lectureships, workshops, and seminars have taken him all over the
world. He has served in administration with four Christian Colleges and
is past editor of Christian Family Magazine and Christian Bible Teacher.
J. J. has conducted seminars and workshops on every subject that is
needed in the church today, and continues to do so with a trip to Italy
next month to co-teach a Leadership Workshop. He is one of the most
powerful speakers in the Lord’s Church. He has authored over seventy books, hundreds of articles, and thousands of lessons preached all over the United States and many foreign countries. J.J. has touched the lives of many people, not only with the gospel, but with his encouragement and leadership. By seeing potential in me, when I was a young farmer in Arkansas, he opened up a whole new world for me of planting seeds of the gospel instead of seeds of rice and soybeans. He encouraged me to attend school to become a preacher, to give my life to preaching, and made it possible for me to fulfill my lifelong dream of teaching at a school that trains preachers. Phillip
Satterfield, Instructor preached at the Cedar Grove
congregation in Camden, TN from 1983 to 1985. He was youth
minister at the Scotts HIll congregation in Scotts Hill, TN from 1986 to
1987, assistant minister at the Husson Avenue congregation in Palatka,
FL from 1987 to 1990, preached at the Canton congregation in Canton, GA
from 1991 to 1999, and currently preaches at the Macland Road
congregation in Marietta, GA.
Phillip achieved a MSCM (Master of Science in Conflict Management) degree from Kennesaw State University, Georgia in 2010. Phillip also holds a BA degree in Bible from Freed Hardeman from 1987, and graduated from the Greater Atlanta High School in 1983.
He is married to the former Ellen Barnette who also attended Freed Hardeman from 1983 to 1986 and they have one daughter, Sara, age 17.
